RC teams do well in Oklahoma
The Ranger College men's and women's cross country teams both turned in dynamic performances this past weekend at the Oklahoma Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, OK.
The Ranger College men fought their way to a sixth-place finish in the final team standings. Overall, more than two dozen men's teams participated in the meet, including teams from Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Iowa
The Ranger College men were led by freshman Amos Kipchumba, who legged out a fourth-place finish with a time of 26 minutes and 16.7 seconds.
As a team, the RC men finished third among all small college teams attending the meet.
The Ranger College women, backed by another strong outing from Benisse Inamahoro, raced their way to 12th in the women's final standings - and third among small colleges. The Lady Rangers were one of 23 women's teams attending the meet.
Inamahoro led all RC runners by placing 33rd overall with a time of 21:08.8
