Rangers take series from Eagles
In the rubber game of its three-game series against Northeast Texas Community College, Ranger trailed 3-1 entering the bottom of the fourth inning. The RC bats came alive and pounded out five runs over the next two innings as the Rangers held on for a 7-5 win.
Sebastian Battle battled his way to a 3-for-3 day at the dish. He drove in a pair and scored two runs as well.
Carter Gwynne went 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs.
Andrew Dean went 5 2/3 picking up the win. He struck out eight and allowed four earned runs on seven hits. Chris Logan notched the save pitching 3 1/3 in relief.
Ranger fell behind early in Game 1 of the doubleheader as the Eagles scored seven runs in the first three innings on their way to an 8-2 win.
Gwynne went deep for the Rangers.

After playing five games in three days, Ranger at Howard College on Tuesday and back home Friday for a weekend series against Clarendon College.
