Coyotes take a pair from Rangers
WEATHERFORD – Having dropped two heartbreakers against the Coyotes on Wednesday, Ranger went to Weatherford on Saturday to get some revenge. The home team had other ideas, WC took the doubleheader winning 6-2 and 7-2.
DECIDING MOMENTS
GAME 1: Weatherford came out and got right to business. The Coyotes used three walks, two singles and two errors to score five runs in the opening inning.
Game 2: Weatherford led 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth. The inning started with two-straight singles and was capped by a 3-run home run that gave the Coyotes a 4-0 lead they wouldn't give up.
BREAKING OUT OF THE BOX SCORE
Hagen Tucker had a hit and a RBI. Luis Vargas had the Rangers lone hit in Game 2.
SCHEDULE SAYS
Ranger is at Eastfield on Monday for a single game and at Vernon on Wednesday for a doubleheader.
