Gazouski shuts down Cisco leading Ranger to split with Wranglers

After not being able to outslug Cisco on Wednesday, Ranger tried a more traditional way to top the Wranglers on Saturday. Game 1 didn't go their way in a 3-0 loss, but Game 2 was all about the home team.

With two on and two out, Ryan Dufrene got Ranger on the board with a two-run double. Sebastian Battle and Luis Vargas followed with RBI singles. Austin Tidwell had a RBI triple and Christian Sanjurjo capped the six-run two-out rally with a RBI single.

Gazouski went seven innings and allowed just four hits and one run while striking out six as Ranger won 6-1.

The opener was an old-school-pitchers dual, that unfortunately, Andrew Dean came out on the wrong end of.  Dean allowed just two earned runs and five hits while going the distance but Rangers wasn't able to get on the board in a 3-0 loss.
