Leopards leap to big innings en route to sweep over Ranger

Ranger had won 7-of-8 conference games headed into its series against Temple College. Having started the conference season with eight games against Cisco and Grayson, TC came into the series with a 1-7 record, Temple was out to flip the script and get back in the conference race and they did just that winning all four games against RC.

GAME 1
The series got off to an ominous start, Temple scored five runs in the third inning with two outs.
The Leopards used a pair of singles, a walk and a double to take a lead they wouldn't give back on the way to a 13-6 win.
Noah Winkleman went deep and had three RBIs.

GAME 2
Looking to even the series, Ranger mounted a comeback in the ninth inning when they took advantage of some TC miscues and cut the lead to 9-5 on an error and an error on a groundout, but that's where the rally ended and Temple won the second game, 9-5.
Alex Garcia had two hits and two RBIs.

GAME 3
Following a schedule change that pushed the finale of the series back to Monday gave RC a chance to regroup and return with a split. Headed to the seventh inning it looked like they were halfway there with a 7-3 lead.
However, TC wasn't about to let the good feelings come to an end without a fight. The Leopards started the inning with a single and sac bunt before using the long ball to cut the lead in half to 7-5. The rally continued and was capped by a Grayson Lee walkoff single that gave Temple an 8-7 win.
Canden Rosholt had two hits and two RBIs.
Daniel Goncalves added a pair of RBIs.

GAME 4
Temple used another big inning to secure the sweep when they scored five runs in the third inning, again. TC matched their hits and runs total winning 13-3.
Tucker Burton had a hit and two RBIs.

SCHEDULE SAYS
It doesn't get any easier for Ranger, it rarely does in conference play, RC hosts Cisco on Wednesday. The Wranglers come into play with a 32-3 overall record and 9-3 in NTJCAC play.
