Crooked numbers enable Grayson to sweep Ranger

DENISON -- Life in the NTJCAC is never easy, but one of the most difficult parts every season is the trip to Grayson. The Vikings scored 19 runs over the course of four innings leading to the sweep of the Rangers.

GAME 1

With two on and two out in the fourth, GC got to work. A pair of singles sandwiched around a single made it 6-0.

The Vikings came out in the next inning trying to end the game and they did so with the long ball. A pair of home runs jumped started the inning and a single and error ended the game, 10-0.

Alex Garcia had two hits.

GAME 2

Victor Bueno provided more offense for the Rangers in the second game and RC held the lead going to the bottom of the third. Grayson doubled to tie the game at 3-3 and went on to score five more runs in the inning to capture the lead right back.

Again, they used the long ball in the following inning when a pair of home runs made it 14-4.

Bueno finished with a home run of his own and two RBIs.

SCHEDULE SAYS

Ranger will try and return the favor to the Vikings Saturday when they host GC starting at 1 p.m.
