Vikings use big fourth innings to sail past Rangers

After a rough road trip to Grayson, Ranger was looking to even the score against the mighty Vikings. But, it wasn't meant to be, Grayson scored 20 combined runs in the fourth innings on the way to completing the sweep of RC.

GAME 1

Headed to the fourth inning, Grayson led just 5-3. GC used small ball to break the game open. They smacked six singles, took advantage of four walks, the biggest hits they had were a pair of doubles. Grayson took the opener 15-5 in five innings.

Alex Garcia had a pair of hits and RBIs.

Kaleb Thompson had two hits and an RBI.

GAME 2

RC found themselves trailing 5-1 after three innings in the finale. Again, Grayson strung together singles and took advantage of some Ranger miscues. The Vikings had five singles and used three walks to score 10 runs in an inning for the second time in the fourth inning.

Garcia had two more hits and drove in the Rangers lone run in a 15-1 loss. 

SCHEDULE SAYS 

Ranger has a make-up series against Western Texas Wednesday afternoon.
