Ranger College Baseball Wins Against Odessa
MIDLAND, Texas — After a sweep in their opening weekend, Ranger College Baseball faced a formidable Midland Chaparrals team and suffered three losses. However, the Rangers rebounded in their final game of the weekend, clinching a victory over the Odessa Wranglers with a score of 8-7.
Odessa accumulated eight hits during the high-scoring matchup. Alex Bustamante's single in the second inning drove in two runs for the Wranglers. In the third inning, Odessa added five runs on four hits but failed to score thereafter.
Ranger College amassed seven hits, primarily in the fourth inning when they scored seven runs on four hits. An error by Odessa allowed two runs to cross the plate, followed by a single from Carter Hubbard that brought in another run. Andrew Perez capped off the scoring with a grand slam to left field, accounting for four runs.
