Rangers sting Harvester Bees, 93-53

Dion Perkins scored 19 points and four other teammates added double-digit efforts on Monday and powered the Ranger College men's basketball team to a convincing 93-53 rom over the Dallas College Eastfield Harvester Bees.

With the win, the Rangers ran their season record to 8-3 heading into this weekend's Howard College Classic. Ranger is scheduled to tip off the two-day tournament against Western Texas College on Friday in Big Spring.

Eastfield did its best to stay close to RC in the first 20 minutes. The Bees fought their way to within 38-30 at the half.

It was all Ranger from there. The Rangers outscored Eastfield by a 55-23 clip in the second half to notch their third straight victory.

Kaylon Mason was Ranger's second-leading scorer. He finished the game with 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds. Chase Collins added 11 points.

Angelo Kambala narrowly missed a double-double in the win. He chalked up 10 points and tallied eight assists. Jahsemar Olembe also netted 10 points.
