Ranger College Men’s Basketball Tops Collin College 85-74, Improves to 14-11
RANGER, Texas — The Ranger College Men's Basketball team defeated Collin College, 85-74, on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Ranger had a strong first half, outscoring Collin 41-29. While Collin mounted a comeback in the second half, outscoring the Rangers 45-44, the early deficit proved too much to overcome.
C.J. Evans led the Rangers with 24 points, 13 assists, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals, playing the entire game. Kaylon Mason also played all 40 minutes, contributing 23 points and 13 rebounds. Anthony Medlock added 15 points and 5 assists in 32 minutes. Addison Archer scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes, while Chase Collins chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds in 28 minutes. Nelson Johnson Jr. contributed 2 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 block in 15 minutes. Jaime Puentes finished with 2 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals in 20 minutes of play.
The win improves the Rangers' record to 4-5 in conference play and 14-11 overall. They will next face McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, with a 7 p.m. start time.
