Coach Jacob Hayslip joins the Ranger College men's basketball program as an assistant coach and Head Men's JV Basketball Coach, bringing experience in player development, recruiting, and basketball operations.

Prior to Ranger College, Hayslip spent the 2025-26 season on the staff at Tarleton State University under Billy Gillispie. Before joining the Texans, he served three seasons as an assistant coach at Itawamba Community College, helping guide the Indians to a 68-19 record and assisting four student-athletes in advancing to NCAA Division I programs.

At Itawamba, Hayslip's responsibilities included coaching, recruiting, player development, camps, and day-to-day basketball operations. He also spent six years with the basketball program at Western Kentucky University, first as an equipment manager and later as a graduate assistant, where he worked in player development, film analysis, recruiting, and program operations.

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Hayslip earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Western Kentucky University before completing a master's degree in Recreation and Sports Administration with a concentration in Athletic Coaching.

Hayslip brings a strong background in collegiate basketball and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the court.
