Rangers claim Region V North Tournament Title

CLEBURNE -- Having played 109:21 worth of soccer Wednesday night in the Region V North Men's Championship match, nothing had been decided between Ranger and Western Texas. Seemingly headed for penalty kicks, Kyle Edwards and Azinho Solomon changed all that. Edwards found Solomon streaking across the box and hit him in stride with a perfect pass that Solomon put in the back of the net to give Ranger a 3-2 win over the Westerners and crowned RC the regional champions.

It was the second time Solomon scored. He put Ranger up 1-0 late in the first half.

After falling behind 2-1, late in regulation, Chris Harrison scored to tie the match at 2-2 where it remained until the :39-second mark of the second overtime.
