Rangers slip past rival Hill at home

When Alex Hislop slid in and drove the ball into the net just 20 minutes into Ranger College's conference opener on Friday afternoon, he gave the 19th-ranked Rangers something they desperately wanted.

Hislop's goal sparked the Rangers to a 2-0 victory over rival Hill College in the conference opener for both squads. The win moved Ranger into the top spot in the conference standings heading into their Sep 27 matchup with Western Texas College.

The victory enabled Ranger College to improve to 7-0-1 for the season.
