Modingwane Places 5th at NJCAA Half Marathon National Championship
FORT DODGE, Iowa — November 11, 2025 — Ranger College freshman Amantle Modingwane turned in another outstanding national performance on Sunday, finishing 5th in the country at the NJCAA Men's Half Marathon National Championship with a time of 1:05:41.3. He crossed the line less than a minute behind National Champion Barnabas Ndiwa of Iowa Western, who won in 1:04:55.3.
Strong Performances Across the Lineup
Ranger College placed four runners inside the top 100:
- Khanya Yali — 31st place, 1:11:06.2
- Sammy Herrera — 70th place, 1:15:01.0
- Joseph Simon — 90th place, 1:17:11.7
The collective effort capped a remarkable fall season for the Rangers' long-distance squad.

"Amantle continues to rise to every challenge," said Coach James Majenge. "Finishing fifth in the nation shows his talent and heart, but I'm equally proud of Khanya, Sammy, and Joseph for stepping up on a tough course. Our men represented Ranger College with tremendous effort today."
