Wilson signs with Hardin-Simmons
She'Ray Wilson did everything but drive the bus for the Ranger College Lady Rangers during her two seasons. She might have done that, too, if she had needed to.
One of the team's leaders as a sophomore, Wilson's hard work and dedication paid off last week when she agreed to continue her basketball career at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. She will join the HSU program as a junior next season.
"You can't say enough good things about her," said RC head coach Skip Townsend. "She worked hard and did everything we asked of her."
Wilson was among the Lady Rangers' key players this season, averaging 9.8 points per game, while finishing second on the team in points per game and assists, and third in rebounds. She also finished in a tie for second on the team in steals during the regular season with 27.
A sophomore from Colleyville, Wilson will be joining an HSU program that went 16-5 this season and advanced to the quarterfinals of the American Southwest Conference tournament.
