Lady Rangers roll over Western Texas, 4-0

Nuria Alejo scored twice and Alba Mendez Garcia and Gabriella Trevino added goals on Friday and carried the Ranger College women's soccer team to a resounding 4-0 victory over Western Texas College at Rangers Field.

With the win, Ranger College ran its season record to 6-2-1 and, more importantly, kept its hopes of a conference title alive.

Alejo staked Ranger College to a quick lead against WTC. She scored the game's first goal just 4:30 into the first half. Garcia added a goal at the 11-minute mark and stretched the RC lead to 2-0.

Alejo closed oiut the first-half scoring with her second goal, a hard shot into the net at the 16:10 mark.

Teevino closed out the Lady Rangers scoring in the second half.

Ranger will return to play on Oct. 2 when they travel to Gateway Park in Fort Worth to face off with Hill College.
