RANGER, Texas — January 14, 2026 — The Ranger College men's basketball team picked up an important conference victory on Wednesday night, defeating Collin County Community College 85–83 at Ron Butler Gymnasium. The win moves the Rangers to 1–1 in conference play and 7–11 overall.

In a tightly contested matchup that featured multiple lead changes, Ranger closed strong in the second half, outscoring Collin 48–43 over the final 20 minutes to secure the two-point win.
Backcourt Leads the Way
Cam Brown paced the Rangers with 20 points, adding 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals in a complete performance.
Devin Whitten delivered a huge offensive night, pouring in 23 points on 5-of-10 shooting from three-point range while going a perfect 4-for-4 at the free-throw line.
Mafatime Ndiaye also had a strong showing, scoring 19 points and knocking down five three-pointers, helping Ranger match Collin's perimeter shooting throughout the game.
